Complicated (poem a day challenge - 11/21/15)

The rulebook is quite easy or so they say.

Some people swear by it but there is no other way.

Men are from Mars, The rules, He's not that into you a few

That tell you all about what Men and Women ought to do

But is love that easy? When you meet a broken heart?

A beautiful spirit crushed, could make it doomed from the start

And aftermath of pain keeps the protective walls up high

I Ask about the push and pull and we decided to say goodbye

Turns out it was not so easy. Something bigger than us had a plan

I kept my heart and the door open in case you were my man.

I say you can come over when you ask for healing hands 

and I get so scared when you pulled away in a silent stand. 

I don't know what God wants for us

clearly you are in control.

Ignoring the signs you said you see 

I'm afraid it's taken it's toll.

You may not be perfect that is true for me as well 

As complicated as you are I'm glad your truth you always tell

I'm listening to your voice although spirit calls for more 

I will always hold you in my heart for you I do adore.
