TODAY!

Today, This day, Is not the day that we turn on the distractions that have kept us locked behind these prison walls. Today is not the day that we put on our head phones and tune out what is really going on in the streets of America. Today is not the day that we hold back the rage in our hearts for the injustices to our brothers and sisters of color. Today is not the day, that even for a split second, we allow the thought that the police killings are justified. Today is not the day that we blame the victims and perpetuate the lies that divide. Today or any other is not the day, that a life for a life or an eye for an eye, will ever be true. Today is not the day that we ignore the fatherless children being fed into the cycle of generational incarceration. Today is not the day that rape can be seen as anything other than a violation of innocence. Today is not the day we sit quietly in our boxes of political correctness. Today is the day for each voice to be heard. Today is the day we act out in Peace. Today is the day we comfort one another. Today is the day that reset ourselves the truth. Today is the day to understand that we must radiate love in the presence of hate. Today is the day to stand together. Today is the day to hold a loving space for those hearts that are afraid & confused. Today is the day we set a place at the table and know wholeheartedly one day they will arrive. Today is the day to love more. Today is the day to be the change you want to see in the World. Today is the day to meet in the field of understanding. Today is the day to stop hurting each other. Today is the day we Unite.
