Balance the scales
I just went on a morning walk to the coffee shop. As I walked passed the grocery store I saw a couple digging in the trash. They were filling up a box with all their findings. I watched as I walked and thought about how grateful I feel that I do not have to get my food in that way. I saw a post the other day which contemplated half the World starving while the other half being on a diet. We throw away so much food everyday. It makes me feel terrible knowing food will end up in the trash instead of someones belly. What if today, we cherish every bite. What if today we buy someone a meal. What if today, we find ways to change this imbalance in the World. If you see a family that seems like they need a hand at the grocery store, offer to pick up the tab for their groceries. Everyone deserves a meal regardless of their outward appearance. Take off the judgment that they are lazy, entitled, etc. At the end of the day, even if all those things are true, we can't leave them starving without hurting ourselves. With a quick google search you can find places to donate. Here is a link I just found. http://www.feedingamerica.org/find-your-local-foodbank/
