Sunday thoughts.... not so linear this morning....
We are crying out asking, begging for money to be set aside to put human lives and wellness first.
As people are getting richer, btw there isn't anything wrong with wealth, except when it compromises our water, food and air. Hence our overall health. What will it take to show these people that their loved ones breathe the same air, eat the same foods, drink the same water. They are getting sick and dying too! Just because you can afford healthcare doesn't mean you should deny others. These decision makers are raising prices and taking advantage of a system designed to help all people.
We are tired of the "my way is the only way" "me and mine" thinking. For the planet needs all people to work in harmony to progress.
Equality in marriage may go against how you interrupt the scripture you read. I ask you, are you certain that's really the truth? Are you the judge and the jury? Do you deny love? In whatever package it appears in?
If your child came home with a white, black, Asian, Hispanic, middle eastern, boyfriend or girlfriend would you deny their love because they had a different colored skin? Different religion?
I've only learned a few phrases in other languages when I travel to be respectful of the native tounge. I would love if everyone spoke English for my comfort. But that's a selfish stance. I respect the people who learn English. So often made fun of for their broken English by those who don't make an effort to learn theirs.
With the president elect stirring up hatred and separation we need to do our part to understand each other. Respect each other. We all need to shine our light to heal the darkness and greed that have come to the surface. This election wasn't about 2 candidates. It was about healing the divide. Healing antiquated thinking. I feel most people agree that they are, in some form, leaving it in gods hands. If you strip away all the man made systems, all the boarders, all the things that divide, we return to the land, the earth, the air, and the water. We must always, always, always strive to put our basic needs first. As I type this on my iPhone. I want to say I don't deny the wonder and excitement of technology and progression. None of our luxuries should come at the price of compromising human life. Not a one. While we ate our thanksgiving meals the Native Americans, the protectors of the land & water were being denied their right to peaceful protest and protect harm to land that belongs to them. It all belongs to them. Our law makers want to build walls to keep people out. Our foundation was built on stealing land and yet we celebrate. We are blowing up countries for oil and we create refugees. We create terror and we wonder why extremist rise up. We deny help or shelter to the good people who's already hard lives we made worse through war. This time is to shine a good light! A loving light. This time is to raise your voice for what is good and just. In my lifetime and observance of religion, I'd bet big money that what we've been doing here in America, Jesus certainly wouldn't do!
