Duct Tape

My Father taught us that Duct tape Fixes everything….it was a theme for us growing up and a fun idea when we bought him gifts, books, wallets, etc... I believed whole-heartedly, until now, that Duct Tape could indeed fix everything. However there was one thing my Dad didn’t consider…..

If Duct tape fixes everything than I wonder if it will fix my broken Heart.

If Duct tape fixes everything, I wonder if it can hold us together when all we want to do is fall apart….

If Duct tape fixes everything, I wonder if it can tape him back together, so that we can hold him, hear him, & see him..

If Duct tape fixes everything then why can’t it bring him back to us?  

I know this seems silly and I indeed want to remain a believer in Duct tape & My Dad’s theory. I know that for the rest of my life, whenever I see Duct tape, I will think of my Dad.  I know that it will not bring him back to us, but it will bring us fond memories.  I am sure that after time Duct tape in a sense will fix us because it will remind us that he in always just a thought away from flooding our hearts with our wonderful Memories.

If Duct tape fixes everything…put a piece over your heart until it doesn’t hurt so badly…
